A little about me...
This is my second year teaching in the Silver Falls School District. I am very happy to be a part of the wonderful community of teachers and students that is Victor Point Elementary. My wife, Eliza, is also a teacher. She will be teaching first grade at Eugene Field this year.
Before taking this position at Victor Point, I taught in several temporary positions. One was in a fourth grade classroom at North Marion Intermediate School. The other two positions I held were in the Special Education program in the Canby School District. There, I taught as the head teacher in a communications classroom and as a resource specialist.
I am always looking for new ways to improve my teaching! That being said, I am very happy with my instruction style, and classroom atmosphere. I hope that my students are too! I enjoy helping students get invested and excited in their work.
Starting this year, I will be coaching the Victor Point Lego Robotics team (with a little guidance from Amy Lawson, last year's coach). I look forward to this opportunity to push our students minds a little harder, and in a different way. It should be a blast!
Although I may not respond instantaneously to email, I welcome any communication between myself and the parents of my students. Please, feel free to contact me through email or in person.
Thank you,
Mr. Gingerich
