Classroom Policies
and other information.
Snack: Students will have a chance to eat a small snack at 10:00 in the morning. Snack is not provided, and students are responsible for cleaning up their trash and food in a timely manner.
Bathroom: Students are free to use the bathroom during any of the assigned breaks. This includes both recesses, lunch, and a 5 minute break in both the morning and afternoon. Additionally students can use their G-Money, our in-class currency, to purchase an unassigned bathroom break. Any emergency bathroom needs should be taken care of without hesitation! If your child has a medical reason for needing to use the bathroom more frequently, I will of course make an exception.
Electronic Devices: All electronics should be kept put away during the school day. This includes during recess. If electronics are seen during the day, they will be confiscated and returned at the end of the school day. Multiple offenses will lead to parent involvement.
G-Money: Students in Mr. Gingerich's class will earn what we will call "G-Money." This money, which is small and clearly fake, can be earned by completing assignments and work done as classroom helpers. There will be various chances for them to spend this fake money, but can buy pencils, paper, and extra bathroom visits on a daily basis.
